Ajujaht competition, which has brought several international success stories to Estonia, will give 150 000 euros to finance this year’s business ideas. You can apply for the competition until October 25.

According to Peeter Raudsepp , the head of Enterprise Estonia, now may be the best time to start a business. “Opportunities for development and innovation can be found in an economically difficult situations. Many sectors are waiting for fresh ideas to help them adapt to the new corona era economies. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced banking shark or an active student – it is never too early or too late to start a business,” encouraged Raudsepp to take part in Ajujaht.

Over the past 13 years, Ajujaht has brought Estonia many local and international success stories, which employ more than 700 people and who paid state and labor taxes in the amount of almost 9 million euros last year. Ajujaht’s alumni include companies like Bolt, Bikeep, Click & Grow, GoWorkaBit, FoodDocs, UpSteam, Groveneer and many more.

Mart Maasik , a jury member of Ajujahi and head of SEB’s business innovation, said that in addition to a strong development program, Ajujaht’s brand is also a quality sign. “Every year, I see how the awareness and trustworthiness of Ajujaht makes it easier for start-up companies to establish contacts with customers, partners and investors,” said Maasik.

Sami Seppänen, the head of Elisa and a member of the jury of Ajujaht, said that the competition marks the same freshness for him as the beginning of the new school year. “Every year, several hundred colorful companies submit their candidacy to Ajujaht, where there is no shortage of brilliant ideas, but practical business experience. The powerful program pushes all start-ups forward, whether they make it to the finals or not. In brainstorming, I often notice fresh ideas or solutions that also expand my world of thought, and I look forward to seeing what brilliant business ideas the coming season will bring, “said Seppänen.

Ideas can be submitted to Ajujaht until October 25 HERE. The winners of the competition will be announced in May 2021.
